Action Action

Opening up with “Instructions on Building A Model Airplane” and ending with “Bleed,” a major crowd
favorite, this set couldn’t have gotten any better. Action Action played Waterstreet Music Hall on November
30th, the kick off of this short two week tour to spread the word about their new album An Army of Shapes
Between Wars, which hits the shelf on January 24th. The turn out for this show was disappointing, but for a
band that had just spent 3 months putting together an album, they rocked the small crowd. The guys also
played some of their new songs from the upcoming album. One of the big favorites was “Paper Cliché,”
which fans could have caught while it was on their myspace.com account for a few days a few weeks ago. The
new song was well received by the crowd, and definitely gave the crowd something to look forward to on the
new album. The set also included their two singles “Drug Like” and “Don’t Cut Your Fabric” from their first
album, Don’t Cut Your Fabric To This Year’s Fashion. Those two songs got the crowd singing along and
increased the energy and vibe of the show. Their set lasted about 50 minutes, and though it was the first, and
had its rough edges, it was still a great performance. I recommend everyone check out this band live at least
once or maybe twice!
