BurningStars: How did Alone start?
Rinat: Alone started in 1999 when me and Steve added Bryan and Billy to the band.
BS: Where did the name Alone come from?
Rinat: Shaun from the band Soil.
BS: What groups influence you?
Rinat: Everything that I have listened to throughout my life. I am influenced by everything I hear.
BS: How do you go about writing a song? Do you write the lyrics or the music first?
Rinat: It depends sometimes we come up with the music and sometimes we come up with lyrics. It's like two
different things.
BS: Does one person write the songs or do you collaborate?
Rinat: We collaborate except for Billy, he is live guitar player.
BS: What are the best and worst places you have ever played at?
Rinat: The Metro is the best and the worst is probably some bar in Dixon, Illinois!
BS: Have you ever had any strange fan experiences?
Rinat: Not really too strange.
BS: What is the best gift you have ever received from a fan?
Rinat: Having them bring all of their friends to our shows and telling people about our music.
BS: What do you do in your spare time?
Rinat: Workout, work on band things.
BS: What would you be doing if you were not in a band?
Rinat: Nothing!
BS: Do you have any tips for aspiring musicians?
Rinat: Don't ever give up what you love!
